Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood has more in common than musical talent, good looks and fashion sense. The salary is very large both superstars have earned their place in the Forbes 2011 list of ‘Top-income women in music.
Taylor, who turned 22 this week, second in the list, earning $ 45 million this year, thanks in part to the continued success of its ‘Speak Now’ CD and tour around the world with the same name. Top of the list was, of course, with a pop culture icon Lady Gaga, the total take for the last year exceeded U.S. $ 90 million.
Meanwhile, Carrie was the seventh in the list, banking an impressive $ 20 million, exceeded all ‘American Idol’ contestants before 2011. Earlier this year, Taylor and Carrie both landed on the list of Forbes best paid celebrities under 30. Other women on the list, which covers the period from May 2010 until May 2011 as Adele, Katy Perry, Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Beyonce.
The possibility that Taylor and Carrie made the Forbes list next year as well, as both have pledged to release a new album in 2012. Taylor will go to Australia in March for the final leg of his world tour Speak Now, while Carrie will most likely hit the road later this year.
