ALMOST three years after his wife filed for divorce, rock guitarist Carlos Santana in action following a new joint drummer beat his drum.

Great guitar player behind the Grammy-winning songs of the ’70s hits like Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va proposes marriage to drummer Cindy Blackman on stage in a concert recently in Chicago suburb, said the label on July 12.

Blackman, who had just brought a drum solo on the song Corazon Espinado, received a marriage proposal, and the pair later shared a kiss that had greeted the cheering crowd, said a statement from the label Sony Music.

Santana, who even 63 years old next week, previously married for over 30 years with Deborah Santana, the mother of three children. Deborah mentioned a variety of unresolved differences of opinion in the divorce lawsuit in October 2005.

In a 2005 memoir, Space Between the Stars, Deborah disclose that her husband was having an affair. After its publication, Carlos Santana revealed he has apologized and tried to become a better man.

Mexican-born musician has sold over 90 million albums worldwide in his career over 40 years, says the label. He won eight Grammy Cup over a very famous comeback album in 1999 called Supernatural, and plans to release an album consisting of cover songs, rock songs in September.

Blackman, 50, recording and touring extensively with Lenny Kravitz, and acts together artists like Pharaoh Sanders, Cassandra Wilson, and Bill Laswell, said the revelation earlier.
